About Carol

My name is Carol Shepherd and I was born, quite some time ago now, in the UK. I grew up with a love of books and words, and found I enjoyed public performance when performing in a band, or reading aloud to captivate my listeners…

As a young adult I spent 8 years in the United States, which contributed to my understanding of different communities and lifestyles; I then happily settled here in Australia some 18 years ago.

While participating in the community I have facilitated groups, studied hypnotherapy and counselling, and enjoyed being a Joey Scout leader when my children were young. Looking for a way to use my love of language and combine it with my desire to work with people, I hold Certificate IV in Marriage Celebrancy, have trained as a Funeral Celebrant, and I am a member of Celebrants Australia, Inc.

It is my belief that ceremonies and celebrations are an important part of our family, social, and community lives, providing us with links to both past and future. It is a great pleasure to have the opportunity to facilitate these ceremonies, and I look forward to chatting with you on the phone to see if I can help you to give your day that special touch…
