Choosing the venue for your marriage or commitment ceremony?
To help you in your planning process, I’ve jotted down some of the things you may like to consider if you are thinking about a beach, park or home wedding…

Position of sun in the sky?
Accessibility for those less able?
Car parking facilities nearby?
Chairs for those unable to stand for any length of time
Table for signing the certificates/marriage register
*Plan B in case of inclement weather i.e. rain, scorching sun, or high winds
**Permission must also be obtained from the local council (permit)
Wedding in The ParkIs there cover in case of rain or for shade on a sunny day?
Are you able to ‘reserve’ a section of the park for your wedding?
Car parking facilities nearby?
Chairs for those unable to stand for any length of time

If you plan to hold your ceremony outdoors:

Enough space to comfortably hold your guests and wedding party?
Enough parking in the area for your guests?
